Private pickup from Oulu
We pick your group up from your hotel, accommodation or another agreed location in Oulu. From the city, the journey continues through forests, rivers and quiet countryside towards Ylikiiminki. The drive takes less than one hour and offers a glimpse of rural northern Finland along the way.
Arrival at the farm
The experience takes place at an old rural farm with a long local history. Traditional buildings still reflect an older way of life in northern Finland, including an authentic Finnish log house, old farm buildings and a smoke sauna. Sheep also live on the farm and may be seen during your visit.
At the enclosure, you can meet and feed the reindeer at close range. Your guide explains their behaviour, the reindeer year and what everyday life with the animals is really like. Because the experience is private, there is plenty of time to ask questions, take photographs and simply observe the reindeer.

Local stories and a warm drink
The farm owner, Esa, is usually there to welcome your group. Over a warm drink and homemade pastry, he and your guide share stories about reindeer, farm life and local traditions. The exact programme may vary slightly depending on the season, weather and animals.
Private return to Oulu
After the farm visit, we drive your group back to Oulu through the quiet countryside and forest landscapes.
You will be dropped off at your agreed location approximately four hours after pickup.
