About the experience

Experience Oulu’s quiet winter nature on this fully private snowshoeing and winter forest experience.

Explore a snowy forest or nature area with a local guide, enjoy a relaxed campfire break, warm drinks and time outdoors away from the city. Depending on conditions, we may use traditional snowshoes or sliding snowshoes — a beginner-friendly hybrid between skis and snowshoes.

The experience includes guided transfers from Oulu, winter clothing, snowshoes or sliding snowshoes, route planning based on current conditions and plenty of opportunities for photos.

The price includes private transfers from Oulu, guiding, winter clothing, snowshoes or sliding snowshoes, a campfire when conditions allow, warm drinks and route planning based on snow and weather conditions.
Pickup and return transportation are included.
Pickup is available from selected hotels in Oulu or from a custom address within 15 km of Oulu city centre. If your accommodation is farther away, please contact us before booking to check whether pickup can be arranged.
The pickup window is 15 minutes from the activity start time. Please be ready at your selected pickup location at the scheduled start time.
Exact pickup details and any changes will be confirmed by email before the activity.
This private experience lasts approximately 3–4 hours, including transfers from Oulu. Pickup is available from selected hotels or a custom address within 15 km of the city centre.
The route, location and equipment may vary depending on snow, weather and safety conditions. If snow conditions are not ideal for snowshoeing, the experience may be adapted into a guided winter nature experience.
The tour can be arranged during daylight or after dark. Northern lights may be possible on evening tours, but this is not a northern lights tour and sightings are never guaranteed.
Winter clothing is included. Please tell us in advance about children, allergies, mobility limitations or other special requirements.
